In addition to exhibitors and professional audiences from Florida in the United States, industry professionals from the Americas and around the world gather at the summer fair every year.

North America maintains its competitive edge: The United States continues to hold the largest share of the global medical device market and is the world's largest producer and consumer of medical devices, with annual output growth of 5-8 percent, the United States supplies 40 per cent of the world's medical equipment, while the United States consumes 37 per cent of the world's medical equipment. America's market share will continue to grow as it continues to drive innovation, explore health care issues and improve existing treatments.

Growth in demand for medical devices in Latin America: At the same time, the market for medical devices in Latin America is expected to return to growth in the coming years. The market is worth about $13.3 billion in 2016 and is expected to reach $18.4 billion by 2020. Despite continuing economic challenges, rapid growth in diagnostic and patient monitoring equipment is forecast. This depends on the need for portability and care beyond the confines of traditional medical facilities. Equipment and instrument suppliers should see the huge demand for mobile and portable products. However, with the development of urbanization, extending life span through medicine and reducing the need for emergency care will require long-term strategies and solutions. Over the next few years, Latin American countries will dominate the growth of global x-ray equipment. In addition, by 2021, the market for testing equipment is expected to grow by 15% , with countries such as Brazil, Mexico, Colombia and Argentina leading the way. Products Related To glucose meters and insulin infusions are expected to grow by 6.3 percent a year to reach $2.3 billion by 2020, led by Brazil and Mexico. The transformation of the epidemic in Latin America has generated enormous demand. Medical equipment to treat and monitor symptoms is especially needed because of the increasing prevalence of respiratory disease, diabetes, and cardiovascular disorders.
